Dr Casey Nissen is a Sunshine Coast local, born and raised in Queensland. She graduated from the University of Queensland in 2013 with dual degrees in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science before completing her hospital training across a wide range of specialties on the Sunshine Coast.
Dr Nissen has a particular passion for children and adolescents and enjoys working alongside families to support their children’s health, growth and development through every stage of childhood. She is committed to creating a welcoming environment where children feel comfortable, and parents feel listened to and supported.
Having worked in a variety of general practice settings throughout Australia, including remote Aboriginal Health Services, Dr Nissen developed a deep appreciation for providing culturally safe, respectful and patient-centred care. She values caring for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and is committed to improving health outcomes for diverse communities.
Dr Nissen enjoys all aspects of general practice and values building long-term relationships with her patients and their families. She is dedicated to providing warm, personalised and evidence-based care to people of all ages, with a strong focus on preventive health and helping her patients achieve lifelong wellbeing.
